This cozy room on the Second St. side of the building has depression era furniture with a cedar wardrobe.  The main attraction is the dress circa 1923 of Lucille's grandmother, Zofia Kovalčik. Framed on the walls are pictures of Jan and Zofia Kovalčik and their passports and marriage license. Foil painting from Slovakia also adorns one of the walls.

This Suite is in the rear of the building. It has a sitting room, which can accommodate another person.  The private bath has a multi-head shower and a double sink.  Depression-era oak waterfall furniture with yellow etched mirrors and a combination cedar wardrobe/desk fill this room.  The sitting room has a handmade wardrobe and two chairs, one that converts into a twin bed. Postcard-sized pictures of Germany and original postcards of WWI Austro-Hungarian soldiers decorate on the walls.

This room is in the rear of the building.  The bed has an interesting headboard made of two iron screens.  Other furniture includes a claw-footed, in-laid wood cedar chest, walnut desk, Jacobean chair and an old handmade cedar wardrobe. Old pictures of the Irish countryside adorn the walls. Also, a candleholder with an Irish poem sits on the dresser.

1 Queen and 1 Double


This lovely room, which is dedicated to the Italian family who purchased and renovated the building, is located in the front, which faces West Crawford Avenue.  The queen bed is of green iron sleigh design and the double bed is of the waterfall depression era style. The drum table and dresser are Mediterranean. The dresser also has two glove boxes built on the top. The matching table lamp and chandelier are cascading cut crystal.

2  Twin Beds

The entrance to this room is located in a different building on a busy street. The room is handicapped accessible with no steps and is our only pet-friendly room. The walk-in 4'x4' shower, with grab bars and chair, is porcelain tiled with no lip to climb over and has plenty of room for wheelchair maneuverability. A heated towel rack is also in the bathroom as well as a photograph of water lilies honoring Monet’s water lily paintings.

Policy

Rates are for double occupancy.  Each additional person is $25.   Check-in is 3 p.m. or after. IF arriving after 9 p.m., please call. Check-out is 10:30 a.m. unless prior arrangements are made.  We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  Add 6% PA sales tax and 5% Hotel Tax.  To hold your reservation, we take a 50% deposit of the room rate. However, if you cancel within 3 days of the arrival date and the room is not re-booked, we will retain your deposit.  If you cancel before the 3 days of arrival and if the room is re-booked within that time, you will receive a refund. Although we are a non-smoking establishment, smoking is permitted on the outside porch and grounds.   We do accept well-behaved children until experience dictates otherwise.
